THE BEGINNING

Pine Hill Indian Community Development Initiative (PHICDI) is a state recognized nonprofit 501(c)3 dedicated to serving the minority & underserved communities of western Orangeburg county & surrounding areas.  After discovering western Orangeburg county was not designated as an economically distressed community to be included as an Opportunity Zone under the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, Pine Hill Indian Tribe created PHICDI to breathe life into our community to facilitate the development & initiation of economic strategies to achieve community survival and rejuvenation, raise educational standards, & improve overall quality of life.
